The marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Manish Kakar’s was one of the most memorable events that we have ever had the pleasure of hosting. The traditional Indian ceremony was held at sunset at the historic Dana Point Yacht Club overlooking a stunningly calm and serene harbor after hours of non-stop stormy weather.

In fact, the fire circling ceremony known as “fehre” was initially planned for outside, but with the waves flooding the entire balcony, the staff at the Yacht Club worked ferociously along with the family of the bride the morning of the wedding to create a stage and environment that was arguably better than the original. Even without the ceremony, the reception afterwards alone warrants this wedding as one of the most fun and crazy events in GrooveBox Entertainment’s decade-long history. It included everything from a live tabla and sitar duo to a traditional Indian dance performance by one of the family friend’s daughters.
And of course the dance floor was lit ablaze by DJ Kav, but boy do Indian people love to dance!

We had such a wonderful time at this wedding and look forward to being a part of many more cultural and unique events! Photo credits go to our personal friend Raul Lozano. Call him at 714-906-4082 for your event and make sure to mention GrooveBox Entertainment!
